A new vision for real education
Why Capra Libera Tutti can be an unforgettable learning experience
- Develop dialogue and self-control skills
- Cultivate empathy, curiosity, and awareness
- Improve non-verbal communication abilities
- See animals as you’ve never seen them before
- …and so much more!
The world is changing
Here, more than 500 animals rescued from suffering and exploitation now live free.
Observing them from a new perspective allows students to nurture observation, listening, and empathy – essential skills for living freely and consciously in today’s world.
Their stories, and the story of Capra Libera Tutti itself, are just the starting point.
From there, we open discussions on broader, universal, and deeply relevant issues, the ones young people must reflect on to face the great challenges of the present (and the future).
We’re talking about environmental and social justice alike.
The idea of justice we fight for here is both holistic and inclusive.
We believe that today’s educational system must evolve and that’s why more and more forward-thinking schools and universities have started collaborating with us.
The new kind of school trip
Traditional visits to petting farms or zoos belong to a system that is outdated and unjust.
In a society that’s changing fast (and often disconnecting us from real life), developing strong emotional intelligence has become essential.
Together, we can build a path of understanding and awareness about the importance of a positive relationship between humans, the environment, and animals.
Students will also have the opportunity to explore their future study and career paths.
Our educational mission includes the university world as well.
We have collaborated with many faculties on field research and complex projects, and below you’ll find one that is particularly close to our hearts.
The veterinary medicine of the future
Veterinary schools traditionally prepare students to work within the animal agriculture industry, where animals are not seen as individuals but as instruments.
They are treated only when it is profitable, when doing so protects the interests of production.
We want to change that vision to rediscover the true meaning of the word patient: a sentient being with a story, a sense of time, and a unique individuality.
We’re doing this through our collaboration with Doctors in Italy, a program that brings veterinary students from the United States to learn that real medicine – the kind that heals – is always and only in service of life.
We also work with a university in Rome, which now carries out part of its student internships here.
The educational potential of this place is immense and we adapt each experience to make it as meaningful and effective as possible.
We create tailored educational programs
Over the years, we have worked with every type of institution: from primary schools to universities.
Our basic program usually includes an introductory meeting at the school, where we present who we are, what we do, and share stories and videos from the sanctuary.
This is followed by a visit to Capra Libera Tutti, where direct observation and interaction with the animals always spark deep reflection and genuine dialogue.
We customize each educational path based on the needs of the school, its stage in the curriculum, and the scope of the project it wishes to build.
We are also developing educational programs to be carried out online for schools that are unable to reach us.
